Tuesday is tennis time for three Prince George high schools vying for city championship bragging rights.

Let's just hope the weather gods co-operate, with no make-up date scheduled if it rains.

The first matches start at 9 a.m. at the Prince George Tennis Club. The eight-court facility next to the Prince George Golf and Curling Club is the site of the one-day team tennis tournament, which involves College Heights, Kelly Road and Prince George secondary school.

Students will play within their gender in singles and doubles matches. The winners of each of the four draws will receive 12 points, with the runner-up getting 11 points, and the next six placings in each event will also generate points which count for each team's total to determine the overall champion.

Players on each team are seeded based on matches against each other the past month.
