Her routines were anything but routine and that led her to the top of the medal podium at the Flip City Invitational gymnastics meet.

Kinnee earned first-place marks with her vault and floor exercise, was fourth on the uneven bars and fourth on the balance beam, which left the Prince George Gymnastics Club (PGGC) athlete first overall in the provincial Level One tyro event.

Lina Goto, a provincial Level 5 novice, was also on top of her game, placing first overall. Goto nailed down a second-place finish in the vault, was second in bars, first in beam and first with her floor routine.

Milan Knight competed in the Level 5 open event and placed fifth overall, gathering second-place marks in the vault, sixth in bars, fifth in beam and fifth in floor.

Two other PGGC members cracked the top-five with their overall finishes. Brooklyn Nicholson was third in the provincial Level 5 tyro competition after placing fourth in vault, second in bars, fourth in beam and third in floor.

Knight and Nicholson have recently made the jump to Level 5 and will be vying for Team B.C. positions at the Western Canadian championships, April 28 to May 1 in Grande Prairie, Alta.

In other PGGC results, Jessica Friesen was third overall in the Level 3 open category, taking first place in vault, third in bars, second in beam, and third in floor.

In the Level 4 open category, Mary Kate Dalla Lana was eighth overall (first in vault, eighth in bars, seventh in beam, third in floor).

It was also a good day's work Saturday for Naraa Little of Prince George, who placed sixth overall in the Level 2 tyro event. Little was seventh in vault, ninth in bars, sixth in beam and 11th in floor. Clubmate Mekenna Parker placed 12th overall in Level 2 tyro (11 in vault, ninth in bars, 12th in beam and 14th in floor).

Anna McDonald and Jessica Pallot, both of the PGGC, were 10th and 13th overall respectively among Level 3 tyro gymnasts. McDonald was 12th in vault, first in bars, ninth in beam, and 11th in floor, while Pallot earned fifth-place marks in floor, was ninth in vault, 15th in bars, and 12th in beam.

Krystal Gregory placed 12th in the Level 3 novice event (fifth in vault, 12th in bars, 10th in beam, eighth in floor).

Langley will host the B.C. championships, April 8-10. The PGGC gymnasium at Exhibition Park will be the site an interclub icebreaker meet this Saturday.
