Results for Prince George schools from the B.C.

Results for Prince George schools from the B.C. high school gymnastics championship held March 7-10 in Powell River:

Level 1 Junior (Grade 8-9)

Sara Sands of College Heights finished ninth on vault (33rd overall) while two PGSS athletes also competed in the category with Jazmyn Reid coming in 35th overall and Jessa Arcala, 38th overall.

Level 2 (combined grades)

Prince George athletes had four top 10 apparatus finishes with Kalena McCarville of PGSS placing third place on the balance beam (15th overall), Monica Bronowiski of Kelly Road placing fifth on beam (25th overall) and Duchess Park gymnasts coming in for sixth place - Jenna Bennell on vault (13th overall) and Isabella Stokes on uneven bars (22nd overall). Suzanna Pattinson of College Heights finished 24th overall and on vault and bars.

In the girls team event Duchess Park was 10th overall.

Level 3 (combined grades)

Lexi Pelletier-Ballum of PGSS was third on bars and fifth overall while Kelly Road's Lindsay Van Mook placed second on vault and eighth overall. College Heights gymnast Kim Marsh was fifth on vault (sixth overall). Sabrina Bergeron of PGSS was 14th on vault and 27th overall.

Level 4 (combined grades)

Reid Powers of College Heights was first on beam and in the all-around, second on bars and floor and seventh on vault, while PGSS gymnast Miranda Doerkson was first on vault, bars and floor, third in the all-around and 10th on beam. Also competing for College Heights was Rhiana Palfy - second on vault, third on bars, fourth on floor, fifth in the all-around and ninth on beam - and Jaymie Hinks - fourth on beam, fifth on vault, eighth in the all-around, ninth on floor and 11th on bars.

The College Heights girls Level 4 team was first overall, while the combined totals (all levels) for the girls teams placed PGSS fifth overall and College Heights sixth overall.

Boys Level 1 (combined grades)

Ben Garcia from PGSS returned home with a first-place finish on vault, eighth on parallel bars, ninth on floor, 12th on pommel horse and 14th in the all-around.

Results for the Prince George Gymnastics Club from the Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational last weekend were:

Provincial 2 (P2) Novice

Alexandra Muir was eighth on beam and floor, 10th on bars and in the all-around and 14th on vault.

P2 Open

Erica Hirtz placed second on bars, sixth on floor, eighth on vault, 10th in the all-around and 15th on beam.

P3 Novice

Mary-Kate Barwise took third on floor, vaulted to fourth and was 12th in the all-around. She placed 15th on bars and 18th on beam.

P3 Open

Tianna Millns' perfect 11th place day (vault, bars, beam and all-around) was spoiled with a 10th place finish on floor.

P5 Open

Milan Knight was seventh on floor, 10th on vault and beam, 11th on bars and 12th in the all-around.
