They may be gone for good.

The crippling and perhaps fatal blow for the Grays junior baseball program was a shortage of players.

"There aren't very many kids coming through the system anymore," said Ken Wood, the Grays' general manager and field manager the past four seasons. "For this year, we lost six kids and we were only getting three new ones so it would have left me with about 11 ball players and that's just not enough, with kids working and going to school."
