Haley Black may need to consider a name change after picking up two gold, a silver and three bronze medals at the 2012 Canadian Age Group Championship in Calgary.

Black, a member to the Prince George Barracudas Swim Club, earned the five medals after three days of the five-day competition which ends today.

She took gold in the 100- and-200-metre butterflies in a time of one minute, 3:08 seconds (1:03.08) and 2:19.72, respectively. Black's silver medal came in the 200m backstroke (2:19.40) and she picked up bronze medals in the 50m backstroke finishing in a Barracudas club record 30.53, the 400 individual medley (5:05.06) and the 100m backstroke (1:04.90).

They're are 12 members of the Barracudas club competing in Calgary and combined have earned nine medals, including a pair of silver medals from Danica Ludlow in the 200m (2:06.01) and 800m (9:13.06) freestyles. The fourth silver medal was won by Sava Yungman in the 200m butterfly (2:11.66).

There were nine new Barracuda club records set at the event, including one by Black, Ludlow, Jessa Wing and Bailey Hardy in the 15-17 girls free relay of 1:53.13.

The championship has attracted more than 1,600 competitors from more than 100 clubs from across Canada to Calgary since Thursday. As a team the Barracudas were in 16th place in the standings and fourth among teams from British Columbia after Saturday's events.

Other Barracudas taking part are: Hannah Esopenko, Julie Wing, Samantha Bleackley, Patricia Fortier, Josiah Binnema, Ethan Godden and Harrison Lagzdin.
