An offensive eruption in the fourth inning helped the Barry Yip RE/MAX Shooters Gladiators get back on even ground with the Inland Control & Services Tigers in the senior men's baseball playoff final.
In a game played Wednesday night at Citizen Field, the Gladiators scored seven runs in the top of the fourth and beat the Tigers 13-5. In the decisive inning, the Glads rapped out two doubles and three singles.
Ryan Yorston was the winning pitcher and Scott Atherton took the loss.
Terry Bonnar of the Gladiators smacked a solo home run in the fifth inning. The Gladiators outhit the Tigers 13-9 and both teams committed two errors.
The best-of-five series is now tied 1-1. Last Thursday, the Tigers won the opener 5-3 in comeback fashion when they scored four times in the top of the seventh inning.
Game 3 scheduled for Friday at 6:30 p.m. back at Citizen Field.
