Girls volleyball team wins Kamloops tournament

The Prince George U15 Girls Kodiaks Red won the Battle of Borders tournament in Kamloops.

The Prince George Youth Volleyball Club’s U15 Girls Kodiaks Red went undefeated over the weekend to win the Battle of Borders tournament in Kamloops.

So far this season, the team placed third in Division 1 plays at the Volleyball BC Okanagan Superseries March 4-5, went undefeated in four games at the SFU Playday in February and opening the season Jan. 28-29 finishing third in Division 1 play at the Volleyball BC Regional Ranking Tournament.

The girls are now gearing up for the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley Super Series April 8-9, followed by the provincial championship in Abbotsford.

The team’s players are Emma Young, Natalie Bond, Olivia Young, Delaney Turner, Nadia Lennox, Tyler Dahl, Eva Allen, Maggie Glover, Emily Clarke, Brooklyn Hoy, Sydney Davis and Avery Johansen. They are coached by Mark Lafleur, Jon Glover and Carly Connor.
