The D.P. Todd senior girls controlled all areas of the floor Monday night at the Northern Sport Centre and beat the PGSS Polars 85-38 in the Big Kahuna City League championship game. The two high school teams entered the contest as the first and second seeds respectively but the Trojans were in a different class when it really counted. They've had their success this season by playing scrappy defence and then turning the ball back up the floor quickly for their scoring opportunities.

The boys city final was played later Monday night. At halftime, Duchess Park was leading D.P. Todd 48-36. See Wednesday's Citizen for the story.
