A comedy fundraiser is set for Saturday night in Prince George to raise funds for a local athlete.

Riley Banzer owns and operates Olympus Freerunning, a Parkour and Ninja gym in Prince George. This year, he aims to qualify and compete in the Sport Parkour League, one of the largest Parkour competitions in the world.

Banzer will also compete in the Canadian Ninja League season from January to September in hopes of reclaiming his qualifying spot in the Worlds. He qualified for Worlds back in October 2021 by placing second in his first ever competition at Nationals, but unfortunately wasn't able to go due to the financial priorities of keeping his gym running.

Saturday’s comedy show at Artspace above Books and Company will feature local comics Mike McGuire and Virginia O’Dine. Tickets are $20 at door or from O’Dine or McGuire.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with an 8 p.m. start. This is a 19-plus event with a cash bar.
