Engage Sport North is partnering with the Prince George Racket Sports Society (PGRSS) for fall programs that highlight the sports of badminton, squash, and table tennis.
Registration is now open for seven racket sport programs, catering to all skill levels, starting on Sept. 18 and featuring youth lessons and adult drop-in sessions led by certified coaches.
The seven fall racket sport programs offered are:
Badminton Youth Lessons:
This program introduces children ages 8-14 to the fundamentals of badminton, taught by NCCP-certified coaches.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Tuesdays or Thursdays from 4:15 - 5:15 pm
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Cost: $130 for eight weeks, plus a one-time payment of $15.00 for a Badminton BC membership
Badminton Academy (Intermediate-Advanced):
Tailored for athletes ages 12+ with over a year of badminton experience, this program focuses on advanced techniques and competitive play.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 - 7:15 pm
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Cost: $250 for eight weeks, with a one-time payment of $15.00 for a Badminton BC membership
Badminton Adult League Play:
Join the Adult League Drop-In to enhance your badminton skills and compete against other players in the area.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Various time slots are available
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Cost: $125 for eight weeks, plus a one-time payment of $15.00 for a Badminton BC membership
Squash Youth Lessons:
This program introduces children ages 8-14 to squash fundamentals and offers intermediate to advanced training for those with prior experience.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Various time slots are available
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Beginner and advanced lessons are available
● Cost: $130 for eight weeks, with a one-time payment of $33.00 for a Squash BC membership
Squash Adult Drop In:
Join the adult drop-in league to compete and access Squash Club Locker for match recording.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 - 8 pm
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Cost: $125.00 for eight weeks, plus a one-time payment of $33.00 for a Squash BC membership Table
Table Tennis Adult Drop-In:
Enhance your table tennis skills in the adult drop-in league sessions.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 - 9 pm
● Location: Tuesdays - Northern Sport Centre Wolf Den, Thursdays - D.P. Todd Secondary
● Cost: $80 for eight weeks, plus a one-time payment of $15.00 for a British Columbia Table Tennis Association membership
Table Tennis Youth Lessons:
Designed for children ages 8-14, this program introduces table tennis and skill-building led by NCCP-certified coaches.
● When: September 18 - November 17, 2023
● Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7 pm
● Location: Northern Sport Centre
● Cost: $130 for eight weeks, plus a one-time payment of $15.00 for a British Columbia Table Tennis Association membership
