Curtis Evans was a silver surfer at the provincial high school snowcross championship at Whistler/Blackcomb.
The D.P. Todd secondary school student brought home a silver medal from the event after finishing second overall, helping the Trojans boys team to a fourth-place team finish, six points away from the bronze medal.
All five of the D.P. Todd team posted top-five results or better at the three-day event.
In other D.P. Todd snowcross qualifying results, Tyler Robinson and Dawson McKinnon each placed third in their respective seeding groups, Ben Walls was fourth in his group and Rhiley Milkovich and Travis Green each placed fifth.
Combined with their giant slalom results on Monday, McKinnon finished fifth overall among 71 competitors, while Evans ended up eighth overall.
Lakes District of Burns Lake won the snowboard boys team title.
"Needless to say, the boys are stoked to have represented their school so well," said D.P. Todd teacher-sponsor Frank Balazs. "The North was well-represented at these championships. Fort St. James won the girls side and Lakes District came in second."

Meanwhile at the Like Me Series snowcross/slopestyle events last weekend at Big White near Kelowna, Dawson Ellery of Prince George won gold in the under-14 boys snowcross race, while Meryeta O'Dine of Prince George captured gold in the women's FIS snowcross division.
In other Prince George snowcross results, Evan Bichon was finished fourth in the men's FIS race after qualifying second-fastest and Tor Green was a top-16 finisher in his first FIX snowcross event.
Northern Edge Snowboard Club coach Bill Laing of Mackenzie placed second in the men's 19-and-older class, while Austin Stedeford was third. Tyler Holm was sixth in the men's 15-19-year-old class.
In the female under-14 class, Hailey Laing of Mackenzie was fifth and Kayleigh Calder of Mackenzie placed sixth. In other U-14 male results, Colby Graham and Griffin Wal of Prince George finished tied for seventh and Jonathan Gullason was eighth.
Green also finished seventh in the slopestyle event.
