Engage Sport North, which is a community-based organization that promotes the development of sport, will be looking for a new executive director.

Current executive director Mandi Graham stepping away from her position, effective June 1.

“Mandi has been a passionate leader at Engage Sport North and helped the organization reach new heights,” said Stephen Duck, President, Engage Sport North Society.

“Her commitment to inclusivity and community building has led to partnerships with Indigenous communities, Adaptive Sport Organizations, and young athletes. And over the past 5 years, her leadership has helped Engage Sport North to become a thriving leader in the sport community, growing from a team of 3 staff members to over 20.”

The organization will begin its search for a new executive director immediately, with the goal of having the next executive director in place by mid-spring. Graham will maintain a strategic oversight to provide expertise and direction for the next executive director.

“I’m proud of what the team at Engage Sport North has accomplished over the past 5 years,” said Graham. “Together, we’ve strengthened the northern sport community, and I look forward to supporting the board, staff and the next executive director to continue growing inclusive sport opportunities in the north in my new role.”
