The Eagles defeated Mount Sentinel of South Slocan 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-9) Friday night to advance to a semifinal playoff today at 11 a.m. against Kelowna The final will be played tonight at 7 p.m.

Earlier Friday, Cedars rolled to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-5-, 25-5) win over Chetwynd. The Eagles placed first in the C pool after sweeping Campbell River, Langley and A.L. Fortune of Enderby.

Meanwhile, the College Heights Cougars advanced to the quarterfinal round at the triple-A girls provincials in North Delta with a 3-1 (25-12, 25-14, 21-25, 25-18) victory over Caledonia of Terrace. The Cougars took on Vernon in a late quarterfinal match Friday. The winner advances to the semifinal round today at 10:50 a.m. against Nanaimo.

The Duchess Park Condors won their consolation round playoff in straight sets over Brookswood of Langley, 25-21, 25-22. Today the Condors will face McRoberts of Richmond in a 9:30 a.m. playoff match.

At the double-A girls provincial championship in Surrey, the D.P. Todd Trojans fell to St. Pats of Vancouver 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 27-25) in a consolation draw playoff Friday. D.P. Todd (1-3) won its first match Thursday night, defeating Smithers 2-1 (19-25, 25-21, 15-5).

At the triple-A boys championship in Kelowna, No. 2-ranked Langley Fundamental ended the B.C. title hopes of the College Heights Cougars, defeating them 3-0 (25-16, 25-11, 25-20) in a quarterfinal playoff. College Heights lost 2-0 (29-13, 25-19) to Nanaimo District in a 5th place-8th-place relegation match Friday. The D.P. Todd Trojans defeated Prince Charles of Creston 2-0 (29-27, 25-19) in a consolation side match Friday.
