The 40th annual Purden to Prince George cycling race goes Sunday with bikers leaving Purden at 10 a.m. Cyclists should arrive at the finish line, Pineview school, between noon and 12:30 p.m.
In 1973 Tom Patterson Jr. become the first winner of the event, while Klaas Bouwman had claimed the title six times. Glenn Montgomery won the event in 2011 with a time of one hour, 55 minutes and 36 seconds.
