The intersection of 15th Avenue and Carney Street was closed off for several hours Thursday as police investigated the death of a cyclist who was involved in a collision with a transport truck.
Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass did not speculate on how the incident occurred but did note it appeared the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.
"We're not going to make any presumptions at this time, there's lots of things we need to determine first before we come out with a cause," he said.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene at 9:20 a.m.
The victim's name was not released Thursday.
