Curling season a go

Enough curlers have signed for the roaring game to deliver a shortened season in Prince George for 2015.

Enough curlers have signed for the roaring game to deliver a shortened season in Prince George for 2015.

After a two-week registration drive, Prince George Golf and Curling Club president Dan Martin said Tuesday there were sufficient numbers to go ahead with the season that will take to the sheets beginning Jan. 4.

"We were close to the $60,000 in revenue that we needed and 394 curlers signed up," said Martin. "Some play in multiple leagues so the revenue was there. It's just awesome, it took a lot of hard work....the board of directors is ecstatic that everybody jumped on board."
