Levi Robinson's goal with 57 seconds left in the game helped lift the Quesnel Crossfire to an 11-10 victory over the Northland Nissan Assault in Prince George Senior Lacrosse action Thursday.
The Crossfire were led by Devin Whalen with four goals and an assist at the Coliseum, while Bryson Waffle picked up three goals and two assists.
Robinson had a pair of goals, including the winner at the 19:03 mark of the last period of play. Leading the Assault were Kyle Pacheco with three goals, while Kirby Grewal and John Makowsky each tallied twice. With the win, the Crossfire are now tied atop the PGSLA with the Prince George Bandits with identical records of 1-0. The Assault fall to 0-1.
The next action is Monday when the Bandits hit the floor against the Assault at 8 p.m. at the Coliseum.
