The College Heights Cougars won all six of their matches en route to serving to the Spooktacular Invitational title on Saturday.
Playing on their home court, the Cougars A side took down the D.P. Todd Trojans A side in straight sets (25-22, 25-21) to win the junior boys volleyball eight-team tournament.
The Cougars upended the Cedars Christian Eagles (25-9, 25-11) in the semifinal after they downed CHSS's B squad in the quarter-final 25-5, 25-5.
In round-robin play, the Cougars posted a 3-0 record with victories against Cedars Christian, Kelly Road and D.P. Todd's A squad.
The Trojans A squad reached the championship final with a 2-0 semifinal victory against the Kelly Road Roadrunners (25-12, 25-11), and a straight-set win over Duchess Park's B side (25-17, 25-14) in the quarter-final.
Kelly Road beat Cedars Christian 2-1 (14-25, 25-12, 15-11) to claim the bronze medal.
The Roadrunners defeated D.P. Todd's B side 2-1 in a quarter-final match, before losing to D.P. Todd's A squad in the semifinal.
PGSS finished fifth overall, followed by D.P. Todd B in sixth place. Duchess Park's B squad was seventh, while the College Heights B squad was eighth.
Tournament all-stars included Evan Guillet and Dayton O'Neill (College Heights), Mike Schwab (D.P. Todd A), Caleb Gurney (Kelly Road), Ben Onywenosa (Cedars Christian), Noah Jeans (PGSS), Isaac Northrop (Duchess Park B) and Nolan Endel (College Heights B).
