Cougars select forward at Import Draft

The Prince George Cougars announced their selection of Marko Dano, a 16-year-old forward, in the 2011 CHL Import Draft yesterday. Dano, a five-foot eleven-inch, 174-pound left-hander from Slovakia, was selected 60th overall by the Cougars.

Dano played with HC Dukla Trencin this past season. In 44 games, Dano posted 31 goals and 58 assists. Dano also played for Slovakia at the 2011 IHF World Under-18 Championships in Germany.

The Cougars made some moves earlier in the day, swapping an Import Draft pick with the Saskatoon Blades and also receiving a third-round selection in the 2012 WHL Bantam draft.
