Cougars lose lead, down 2-0 in series

The Rockets now lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

The Cougars were up 4-2 late in the second period when Tyson Barrie cut Prince George's lead to one. But the Rockets exploded with four goals in the third period, the markers from Cody Chikie, Jessey Astles, Kevin Smith and Geordie Wudrick.

Colton Sissons and Zak Stebner also scored for Kelowna.

Sena Acolatse, with a goal and two assists, James Dobrowolski, Wilson Dumais and Jaroslav Vlach replied for Prince George.

Adam Brown made 26 saves for the Rockets, while Ty Rimmer made 25 saves for the Cougars.

The first-round series resumes in Prince George with Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
