OK Prince George Cougars fans, it's time to dig out your white T-shirts and jerseys and wear them to CN Centre on Wednesday and Thursday.

Playoff hockey has returned to town.

The Cougars host the Victoria Royals in Games 3 and 4 (7 p.m.) in their WHL B.C. Division semifinal playoff series.

The Cats trail the Royals 2-0 in the best-of-seven series after they suffered a pair of close losses in Games 1 and 2 in Victoria on the weekend.

"We want to do a whiteout just like we used to do in the old days," said Andy Beesley, Cougars vice-president of business. "It will be very energizing for the players to see the solidarity. Our fans can make a huge difference to the team and give them that extra little push. We know our team can win and there's no reason not to believe they can."

Since the Cougars clinched their first playoff berth in four years on March 20, fans have been clamouring for tickets.

Prince George has only hosted four playoff games in the last eight years.

"There's been non-stop action at Ticketmaster, it's going extremely well," said Beesley. "In terms of being a last-minute town as we are, there are still a lot of good seats left."

He's encouraging people to buy their tickets in advance instead of right before the games to avoid long lineups. That way, fans won't miss any of the action on the ice, especially in the first period.

"Fans who do attend will experience an atmosphere and electricity and emotions of playoff hockey," said Beesley.

For group purchases of eight or more single-game tickets, the cost is $18.63 (adult), $12.85 (senior), $11.80 (student) and $8.65 (children). For individuals or groups smaller than eight the cost is $22.50 (adult), $15.15 (senior), $14.10 (student) and $12 (children).

Limited edition playoff-branded T-shirts will also be available on the concourse for $5 each on a first-come, first-served basis.
