Cougars hope to snap losing streak Tuesday in Seattle

After tonight’s game, the Cougars are back at home for Friday and Saturday for a weekend doubleheader against the B.C. Division-leading Kamloops Blazers at CN Centre.

Saturday’s game is the annual Teddy Bear and Toque Toss game and the last game for the Cougars before Christmas.

Cougar forwards Riley Heidt and Koehn Zimmer are among 19 WHL players who have been selected to play in the 2023 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Langley, Jan. 25.

Defenceman Ethan Sampson, the Cougar captain, and goalie Tyler Brennan participated in Canada's world junior selection camp in Calgary over the weekend but were not among the 11 WHL players, past and current, who made the team.

Cougar winger Ondrej Becher was picked for the Czechian world junior selection camp.

The IIHF world junior championship will be played Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Halifax, N.S. and Moncton, N.B.
