The Prince George Cougars lost 5-2 Tuesday night to the Everett Silvertips in Everett, WA.
The Cougars got two power-play goals in the first period but the Silvertips answered with three goals of their own in the second, followed up with two empty-net goals late in the third.
Chase Wheatcroft scored both goals for the Cougars and now leads the Western Hockey League in power-play goals with 12. He has 20 goals overall.
The Silvertips outshot the Cougars 50-31.
The Cougars continue their road trip tonight in Portland against the Winterhawks.
