The Prince George Cougars have traded disgruntled forward Carson Bolduc to the Kamloops Blazers for forward Aaron Macklin. Bolduc is 17 and Macklin is 18.

Bolduc, from Salmon Arm, was in his second full season with the Cougars. In 77 games, including six as an underager in 2011-12, he scored five goals and had four assists.

This season, Bolduc had just two goals in 17 games.

Bolduc was chosen by the Cougars 59th overall in the 2011 Western Hockey League bantam draft. He had recently walked out on the team.

Macklin, from High River, Alta., played 87 games in a Blazers uniform. In his two seasons with the club, he had four goals and seven assists.

At six-foot-two and 193 pounds, Macklin will bring some grit to the Cougars.

"We're looking forward to adding a player with Aaron's skill-set," said Cougars head coach Mark Holick. "He's got size, plays the game physically, and has shown that he can chip in offensively too."

Macklin will be in the lineup when the Cougars host the Vancouver Giants on Friday.
