The Prince George Cougars defeated the Vancouver Giants Tuesday evening in a high scoring game to keep their winning streak going.
With the 7-6 win, the Cougars have three victories in their first three games of the 2016 - 17 Western Hockey League season.
Defenceman Tate Olson started the scoring two minutes into the first period, with his first goal of the season. Jared Bethune capped off a hat-trick with the game winning goal 15:43 into the third period. Other goal scorers for the Cats were Josh Curtis, Colby McAuley and Justin Almeida.
The Cats are in Kelowna Wednesday (7 p.m. start) taking on the Rockets. Both teams will then head to Prince George for the Cougar's home opener at CN Centre on Friday at 7 p.m.
