When forward Mike Conlin slips into a Prince George Spruce Kings jersey next season, he'll be a guy who should contribute to team success in all areas of the ice.

The Kings announced Conlin's commitment for the 2018-19 B.C. Hockey League season on Monday. He hails from Northport, N.Y., and is a product of the North Jersey Avalanche Under-18 program.

"We are thrilled to add Mike Conlin for the upcoming season," said Spruce Kings head coach Adam Maglio. "In our time watching and meeting with Mike we were impressed by his work ethic, compete level and overall character. Mike plays the game the right way - he is a 200-foot player that plays in the hard areas. We look forward to working with Mike next season and welcome him to the Spruce Kings."

Last season, Conlin had eight goals and 14 points in 24 games with the Avalanche. The program is the same one that played a role in the development of current Kings forward Patrick Cozzi. Conlin and Cozzi, however, were never teammates.

Conlin will be in Prince George in August for main training camp.
