The Duchess Park Condors got the job done Friday on the double-A girls provincial basketball court in Langley.
They beat Vernon 52-39 to advance to the fifth-place playoff today at 11:30 a.m. at Langley Events Centre.
The zone champion Condors recovered from a 68-64 loss to G.W. Graham of Chilliwack in a quarterfinal playoff Thursday. Duchess Park opened Wednesday with a 59-32 win over Westsyde of Kamloops.
Meanwhile, at the junior A girls provincial tournament in Langley, Duchess Park lost 44-35 to St. Thomas More Composite. The Condors will play a placement game today at 8:30 a.m. against Windsor.
The Prince George Polars and Nechako Valley Vikings of Vanderhoof are also out off the medal hunt and met Friday night in another game to determine final placings.
