Condors take down Trojans to claim fifth consecutive Senior Boys City basketball championship

For the third season in a row the Duchess Park Condors and DP Todd Trojans faced each other in the Prince George Senior Boys High School Basketball City Championship that took place on Tuesday night at Northern Sport Centre .

For the third season in a row the Duchess Park Condors and DP Todd Trojans faced each other in the Prince George Senior Boys High School Basketball City Championship that took place on Tuesday night at Northern Sport Centre . The two previous city final meetings were won by the Condors. Duchess went into the contest being the top-ranked triple-A boys basketball team in the province while the Trojans were the sixth-ranked double-A boys team in B.C.

The Condors got off to strong start and headed into the half with a 39-20 lead over the Trojans. DP Todd battled back in the third and fourth quarter but it just was not enough as Duchess Park outscored the Trojans 27-23 in the second half on their way to claiming their fifth consecutive title by a final score of 66-43.
