The Duchess Park Condors, ranked sixth in B.C. among triple-A boys basketball teams, will put that provincial ranking on the line starting today when they host the five-team north nentral zone championship.
At 7:45 p.m. at Duchess Park gym the top-seeded Condors will play the winner of today's Correlieu-Lake City game, which starts the zone tournament at 2 p.m. In another game today, the No. 2 Prince George Polars meet the No. 3 College Heights Cougars at 6 p.m.
Action resumes Friday with games at 11:45 a.m., 1:30 and 6 p.m.
The championship game in the double-knockout tournament is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. If a second final is needed it would be played at later Saturday.
Meanwhile, at the double-A zone boys championship in Burns Lake the D.P. Todd Trojans are the top seed and won't play until Friday morning. They meet the winner of today's 5 p.m. No. 5 Lakes District-No. 4 Nechako Valley game, which will be followed at 8 by the No. 2 Dawson Creek- No. 3 Kelly Road matchup. The final is set for Saturday at 3 p.m.
