For the seventh year in a row the Duchess Park Condors got to hoist the Prince George Senior Girls High School Basketball City Championship trophy on Tuesday night at Northern Sport Centre after defeating the PGSS Polars by a score of 87-34.

The Condors put the pedal to the metal right from the opening tip-off and didn't let go until the final buzzer showing why they are one of the top-ten triple-A girls teams in the province. Duchess Park went on a 25-0 run to start the game with the Polars being held off the scoresheet until the final seconds of the first quarter when they sank two free-throws to put their first points on the board. The Polars defense could not contain the Condors top-scorers and Duchess Park headed into their dressing room at the half with a commanding 46-11 lead. PGSS did not give up scoring 12 points in the 4th quarter but the lead proved to be insurmountable and when the final horn sounded the Duchess Park players rushed onto the court after capturing their seventh consecutive title with a 87-34 victory.
