Collard bullish on Canada Winter Games bid

If it was up to Paul Collard, there wouldn't even need to be a vote to determine which B.C. city will win the right to host the 2010 Canada Winter Games.

Prince George is the perfect place to have it, says Collard, the Vanderhoof dentist who is now in Whistler as chief of competition for the Olympic biathlon events.

"Prince George is a slam-dunk for the 2015 Canada Winter Games -- it's a winter city," said Collard.

"Participation-wise, it's bigger than the Olympics and I'm looking forward to us getting the Canada Games. We just have to get the politicians on side."
