Saturday is Sports Day in Canada and the Prince George Ringette Association is encouraging more participation in their sport by offering a free tryout.
Kids who want to know what it's like to play ringette can put on skates and play the game this Saturday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Coliseum.
Bring your skates, a helmet (bike or hockey), gloves, warm clothes, and, if you have them, elbow pads and knee pads.
Players on local ringette teams will be at the rink for practices before and after the demonstration session to show how they fine-tune their skills with the ring.
