The Coast Inn of the North Cougars will take slapshots and dish out bodychecks in one of Canada's elite minor hockey tournaments.
The midget Tier 1 Cats are entered in the Richmond International, which starts on Dec. 27 and runs until Dec. 31. The 15- to 17-year-old Cougars will play their first game on opening day against the Alaska Wolves. Their other round-robin opponents are the Seafair Islanders, Abbotsford Hawks and Kelowna Junior Rockets.
The playoff round will begin with quarterfinal contests on Dec. 30.
