Abbotsford Heat head coach Jim Playfair lost his temper during an American Hockey League game against the Hamilton Bulldogs March 27.
The American Hockey League fined Playfair an undisclosed amount after he received a minor penalty for abusive language and a game misconduct for screaming at referee Jamie Koharski and breaking two sticks over the boards early in the second period of a 4-0 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
His outburst came after Koharski handed Heat forward J.D. Watt a major penalty for charging and a game misconduct for a hit on Bulldogs' goalie Cedrick Desjardins.
