Members of the Inner City Boxing Club will be racking up the Air Miles in the next month.
Canadian national team member Kenny Lally will head to Chile later this month for a fight in the 56 kilogram weight class. Meanwhile, Jag Seehra will be part of a seven member Team B.C. squad travelling to Cornwall, Ont., for the inaugural National Golden Gloves event, July 16-20. Inner City coach Bob Pegues will be in the corner coaching the Team B.C. boxers. Seehra will fight in the 60 kilogram class.
Pegues will then step into the ring himself at the Ringside Master World Championship in Kansas City, Missouri, July 31 to Aug. 3. Pegues will fight in the 71 kilogram class.
Last Saturday, Seehra was a winner in a split decision over Eric Taylor at the Summer Boxing Classic in Kelowna. Kaiden Witso was also on the card in Kelowna, unfortunately his night didn't end as well as his coach's and teammate's did. The 13-year-old lost to Surrey's Jaskerat Singh.
