There was 16 teams in the hunt for the 2013 floor curling championship during the two-day event at the Elder Citizens Centre last week, with Agassiz's Henk Vanderaadt skipping his team to victory.

The other members of the Vanderaadt team included third Derry Chidlow, second Shirley Hopkins and lead Richard Hopkins.

In second place was Ruth Reikort, Lother Jasmer, Wilma Couiyk and Margaret Smith of Pineview while Lil Langstrom, Greta Bowser, Gordon Bremmner and Ellen Wiege of Williams Lake were third. Fourth place went to Prince George curlers Maxine Wilson, Betty Bishop, Mo Sturgeon and Fred David.

Next year's bonspiel may attract new teams as there were many spectators taking in the action who were new to the sport of floor curling.
