The iron will be flying this weekend at the Prince George Horseshoe Club.
It's tournament time at club headquarters at Carrie Jane Gray Park and the sound of ringers will be heard the next two days at the Prince George Classic Open, starting at 9 a.m. both days.
About 15 players are registered for the event and club spokesperson Alice Boschman says any new joiners can register up to five minutes before it all begins. Boschman is hopeful the club will be able to raise the $1,000 it needs to pay its annual rent to the city.
Club members are gearing up to host the Western Classic meet in Prince George, Aug. 4-5, which Boschman says will attract pitchers from B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
