The Prince George Citizen Peewee Tournament of Champions hits the ice today at CN Centre and the Kin Centre.
This year's tournament features the host Viking Construction Tier 1 Cougars, the Prince George Freightliner Tier 2 Cougars, Dawson Creek and Omineca. Today's first game will see Freightliner take on Dawson Creek at 8:30 a.m. at CN Centre. Also today, Viking Construction will battle Omineca at 11 a.m. at Kin 3 and Freightliner will meet Omineca at 3:30 p.m., also at Kin 3.
Games will continue on Saturday and the gold-medal final is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday at Kin 3.
Viking team members are Braeden Young, Raymond Prive, Chase Schurack, Justin Parker, Matthew Macsemniuk, Brennan Malgunas, Justin Karrer, Seth Lapre, Austin Guignard, Craig McDonald, Brevin Gervais, Jayce Schweizer, Garrett Anderson and Marcus Allen. Head coach Marcel Prive is assisted by Kevin Malgunas, Crawford Young and Steve Allen. The team manager is Curtis McDonald.
