OK, I have to start with a story that was told to me on Sunday.
Chances are you watched Friday's opening ceremony -- two-thirds of Canadians did, according to TV ratings. Well, give CTV credit for muting a chant that was rising in the stands near the end when one prong of the cauldron contraption didn't rise from the floor.
"Remember when (Steve) Nash and (Wayne) Gretzky were kinda grinning at the end, waiting? Well... I'll tell you why," an attendee told me.
