The Prince George Cougars hope to win their second straight game on the road tonight when they take on the Kamloops Blazers.

It's the first meeting of the season between the two B.C. Division rivals.

The Cougars, in the midst of a four-game road trip, arrive in Kamloops after securing a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Giants on Sunday.

They currently sit fourth overall in the Western Hockey League's Western Conference with a 6-5-0 record and 12 points.

Meanwhile, the Blazers, who last played Friday where they suffered a 4-2 loss to the Calgary Hitmen, are in last place in the Western Conference with a 3-8-0 record and six points.

After 11 games, 18-year-old left-winger Jesse Gabrielle is the top point-getter for the Cougars. He has scored nine goals and chipped in two assists.

Last week he collected seven points (five goals and two assists) in four games to help the Cats to a record of 3-1-0 at CN Centre. For his efforts, he was named the WHL player of the week on Monday.

The Kelowna Rockets lead the B.C. Division and the Western Conference with a 9-4 record. The Cougars will wrap up their trip Friday against the Rockets in Kelowna.
