After a strong start the Cariboo Cougars couldn't quite make it to the finals to challenge for a second Mac's Major Midget Hockey Tournament title in three years.
The Cougars finished the Mac's Major Midget Hockey Tournament with a 5-1 record after suffering a tough 5-4 overtime loss at Saturday's semi-final game.
The Belarus National Under 17 team led the whole game and scored the finisher five seconds into overtime, according to a game summary issued by the Cariboo Cats.
But the Cougars battled through all three periods, bringing the teams even 1-1 with a goal by Trey Thomas to end the opening period.
In the second Belarus pulled ahead with two early goals.
Deven Sutton brought the Cats within one before Belarus buried another puck to double the lead.
The third period was all Prince George, with goals first by Tyler Maser and then from Hunter Floris, who scored with 4:20 left in the game.
Floris, who recorded at least one point in the Cougars' six tournament games, ended the tournament with a win when he was named to the 1st team all star roster.
He scored eight goals and earned five assists to lead the tournament in scoring with 13 points.
This year Floris has 21 points, from 13 goals and eight assists in 24 games.
