Already crowned regular-season champions, the boys from Cap-abilities kept their winning act together in the playoffs. Caps has made it a habit of coming out ahead in games played on the Roll-A-Dome hardwood and with snipers Mike Legg, Frank Crosina, Al Patterson and Len McNamara spicing the ofence, and Dave Krahn, Ed Gunton and Ken Pedersen forming a protective barrier in front of goalie Dave McCaffrey, they cruised to a 29-1 season record and went undefeated in four playoff games.
In the two-game playoff final, Caps beat the Predators 4-2 and 8-2.
Alison's/Bench knocked off the Pizza Hut Slicers 3-2 and 3-0 in the consolation final, also played Tuesday at the Roll-A-Dome.
