The Prince George Sports Hall of Fame is ready to expand its membership. To do that, it needs a little help.
Potential inductees into the PGSHOF must be nominated by members of the public, and the nomination period is now open.
Forms can be picked up at Northern Food Equipment, located at 495 Second Ave. After Oct. 21, they will also be available on the PGSHOF website (pgsportshalloffame.org).
The closing date for nominations is Nov. 22. The induction banquet will be held early in the new year. Details are still being finalized.
Currently, the PGSHOF has 67 inductees. The most recent ones are: Lyle Dickieson (canoeing/speed skating); Sylvia Hausot (judo); Dale McMann (softball); Dave Jenkins (lacrosse); and Niilo Itkonen (cross country skiing). All were inducted in 2012.
Categories for induction include athlete, coach and builder/administrator. Teams are also eligible for induction.
