It was a brother show last night at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. Ben Poisson had three assists and younger brother Nicolas had a goal and an assist in his first Junior A game as the Prince George Spruce Kings ran over the Chilliwack Chiefs 5-1.
Ben Brar, Nolan Welsh, Nick Bochen and new acquisition Sam Kozlowski also scored for the Spruce Kings. Kevin Wall had the lone marker for the Chiefs.
The game was never really in doubt, as the Spruce Kings dominated territorial play, outshooting Chilliwack by a wide margin, 42 to 16.
SPECIAL TRIBUTES
Before the puck was dropped there was a banner raised for the Spruce Kings finishing in first place in the Mainland Division last season. The Spruce Kings also paid tribute to the Humboldt Broncos after last year's tragic bus crash.

The team also paid tribute to former trainer Malcolm Poburan who spent over 35 years with the Spruce King organization. He passed away last spring after a battle with cancer.
The two teams won't have time to stew about what could have been. They renew their rivalry tonight at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena at 7 p.m.
