Prince George Cougars forward Zach Pochiro has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues selected Pochiro in the fourth round (112th overall) in the 2013 National Hockey League draft. He attended their training camp last fall and then had a strong Western Hockey League season with the Cougars. In 63 games with the Cats, he had 27 goals and 66 points.

"It's been a dream to play in the NHL and to see it falling into place is very exciting," said the 20-year-old Pochiro, a product of Las Vegas. "I'm very excited to be a part of an organization that is on the rise. I'm very grateful and happy to have this opportunity."

Cougars coach Mark Holick said the organization is proud of Pochiro's accomplishment.

"He's worked hard to get to where he's at, and this contract is well-deserved," Holick said.

In 128 career games with the Cougars, Pochiro has 42 goals and 105 points. Previously, he had played for the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the North American Hockey League.
