Most of the athletes achieved personal bests and helped score valuable points toward the club's finish in the team category.

Dalla Lana, Sylvia Masich, Orlowsky, Thew and Young will be members of Team B.C. for the Canadian age class long track championships in St. Foy, Que., from Feb. 8-9.

In Saskatoon, at the Canada Cup No. 3 long track event, Nico Hiller finished 13th in a deep field of athletes who were up to 10 years his senior.

Hiller was the youngest skater to place in the top-15. Competitors at the Canada Cup are seeking times for selection to the national program and eventually the national team.
