Sarah Beaudry finished 28th in the women's 7.5 kilometre pursuit competition Sunday at the youth and junior biathlon world championship in Obertilliach, Austria.
The Prince George product completed the course in a time of 32:04.2, moving up from her 38th start position. Beaudry hit 17 of 20 targets in shooting and had a strong day of skiing. There were 60 competitors in the pursuit.
In the youth men category, Arthur Roots qualified for the pursuit when he finished in 59th place in the sprint competition (the top 60 skiers qualify). Roots was competing for the first time in an international biathlon event.
The third Prince George skier, Emily Dickson, didn't qualify for the youth women pursuit in her first international competition.
