Local kids will have the chance to run with Lions today.
Mike Reilly and Jerome Dennis, members of the Grey Cup champion B.C. Lions, will be guest instructors at the Play With the Pros football camp at the Northern Sport Centre fieldhouse. Registration -- which is free of charge -- will go from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be followed by the camp itself. It is scheduled to run until 12:30 p.m.
The session is open to all players born between 1999 and 2005. Players are asked to wear shorts and t-shirts and to bring cleats (if possible) and water bottles.
Reilly and Dennis will lead the players through eight activity stations designed to teach basic skills. The camp, being presented by the Prince George Minor Football Association, is strictly non-contact.
Also today at the NSC fieldhouse, the Northern Combine will be on the turf. The combine is for players born between 1994 and 1999.
