The Prince George Barracudas surged through the waves to win seven medals and set six club records at the Western Canadian swimming championships in New Westminster last weekend.
Their success resulted in an 11th-place overall finish.
Haley Black clocked 58.91 seconds in the 50-metre backstroke to win gold and set a new club record.
She earned silver in the 100m backstroke, clocking 1:01.79 and won bronze in the 200 back, with a time of 2:15.89.
She also won silver in the 50m butterfly, posting a time of 27.47, also a new club record.
And she won bronze in the 200 individual medley, clocking 2:20.45.
Josiah Binnema sped to bronze in the 50m butterfly with a time of 25.65 seconds, setting a new club record. He also posted a new club record in the 100 fly, clocking 55.92, which earned him another bronze medal.
In the B final, where he finished first, he set a new club record in the 50 back at 27.02 seconds.
Hannah Esopenko set a new club record in the 50 breast stroke when she finished first in the B final with a time of 34.09. She was fourth in the A final in the 100 breast, clocking 2:35.19.
Patricia Fortier posted three fourth-place finishes in the A finals. She posted a time of 1:03.12 in the 100 back; 4:55.32 in the 400 IM, and 2:16.71 in the 200 back.
