The Prince George Barracudas churned through the waves to win 20 medals at the Swim B.C. triple-A short course championships last weekend in Kamloops.

The Barracudas won four gold, 10 silver and six bronze medals to finish 11th overall after 45 individual final swims.

Skylar Lewington broke her own club record of four minutes 43.79 seconds in the 400-metre freestyle to clock a new time of 4:43.12 in the 11-12 girls category.

She also shaved 15 seconds off an old record of 9:50.29, set in 1997 by Nicole Schnapp, to clock a new time of 9:35.24 in the 800 free and win a bronze medal.

Sava Yungman posted 2:04.87 to set a new record in the 200m butterfly in the boys 15-17 category to win a silver medal. The old record was 2:05.28, set by Sterling King in February 2012.

Josiah Binnema broke his old record of 56.79, which he set in December, to clock a new time of 56.45 in the 100 fly.

Hannah Esopenko won gold in the 200 breast stroke, posting a time of 2:38.03 as well as gold in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:26.02. She won silver in the 800 free, clocking 9:32.45. She won silver in the 200 fly with a time of 2:29.19, as well as silver in the 400 IM with a time of 5:11.99. She won bronze in the 100 fly, clocking 1:07.28.

Haley Black won gold in the 100 fly with a time of 1:16.21; gold in the 200 IM, clocking 2:19.39; silver in the 200 fly with a time of 2:16.29; silver in the 200 back with a time of 2:15.38; and silver in the 800 free with a time of 9:00.73.

Patricia Fortier won bronze medals in the 200 IM (2:22.68) and 800 free (9:06.00).

Julie Wing took silver in the 200 back, clocking 2:19.50.
